The museum is in Kelvin Hall and it dates from 1987 when the then exhibition centre was converted into a museum. The museum has collections of various vehicles and forms of transport on display. These range from horse drawn carriages to steam trains.
The museum is an ideal family day out and it is very popular with children. The museum is due to move to a new location in 2011.
